  • Are you struggling with trauma, anxiety, or painful emotions that affect your daily life?

  • Did you experience challenges during childhood that have had a pervasive and persistent effect on you, no matter how many years have passed by?

  • Does it feel like all the talk therapy in the world just isn’t enough?

If so, it would be my honor to support you!

In Intensive Sessions, I combine the power of Attachment-Focused EMDR and play therapy, working with you to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your emotions and past experiences in a way that promotes comfort and safety. The integration of Attachment-Focused EMDR reprocessing with the expressive, engaging methods of play therapy helps to meet the needs of the adult self and your inner child!

What is Attachment-focused EMDR?

Attachment-focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a therapeutic approach that aims to help individuals decrease reactivity to past traumas and emotional challenges by addressing the attachment wounds from their childhood.

This type of intensive therapy can be particularly beneficial for individuals who have struggled with attachment-related issues, such as abandonment or neglect. It can also be helpful for individuals who have experienced other types of trauma, such as physical or sexual abuse, and are seeking a more comprehensive approach to healing and growth.

What is Play Therapy?

Play therapy is a form of therapy that utilizes play, projective experiences, and creative expression to help children and adults process their thoughts and emotions. Play therapy allows clients to experience and express their inner worlds in a safe environment, helping them to develop new perspectives, problem-solve, and work through past traumas.

Why an Intensive Model?

Intensive EMDR has been found to be especially effective for individuals who have struggled with traditional talk therapy, or who have a history of complex trauma. Research has shown that EMDR can be especially effective when delivered in an intensive format, which allows individuals to receive multiple sessions of therapy in a condensed period of time.

Benefits of an EMDR Intensive Model:

  • Rapid and Effective: Intensive EMDR therapy can produce significant changes in a short period of time, helping individuals overcome their challenges and achieve lasting change more quickly than traditional therapy models.

  • Focused and Targeted: Intensive therapy allows for a more focused and targeted approach, allowing individuals to work intensively on specific issues and achieve deeper levels of healing and growth.

  • Intense Processing: The high intensity of intensive therapy provides an environment where individuals can process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges more deeply and thoroughly than with traditional therapy models.

  • Minimizes Time Away from Work and Family: With intensive therapy, individuals can achieve significant progress in a shorter period of time, reducing the amount of time they need to take away from work and family.

  • Combines Play Therapy and EMDR: This unique approach to therapy combines the engaging methods of play therapy with the power of EMDR, providing a more fun and accessible therapy experience.
