BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT
Get help understanding and managing your child’s behavior.
If your child is aggressive, withdrawn, does not listen to you, or acts out in ways that are harmful or disruptive, please know this behavior is temporary and is likely an attempt to seek connection or a way to communicate a need without having the right words to use. Acting on emotions is sometimes the only option a child has when verbalizing feelings or seeking support is a challenge. Together, we can figure out what message the behavior is conveying, and identify how your child can have his or her needs met in a safer, more positive way without having to rely on negative behaviors. Training and experience with attachment-focused, neuroscience-based assessment and intervention has prepared me to facilitate positive change and growth through personalized treatment based on your child’s needs and strengths. I engage parents, caregivers, and family in the therapeutic process and development of a behavior support plan to work toward the best outcomes and maximum support for your child. This intensive service relies heavily on parent/caregiver training/support as well as individual therapy for the child to deepen attachment, improve communication, and nurture your child’s ability to identify, access, and embrace their innate assets.
