GROUP THERAPY

The power of group therapy is incredible! Bringing people together with a shared experience and common goal helps to develop support systems, coping strategies, peer bonding, and a strong sense of “I can get through this!” Some Groups include parent/caregiver sessions to share skills, strategies, and support with those most closely involved with helping youth address identified needs.

Upcoming groups include:

Dealing with Divorce: Group Adjusting to Family Changes (ages 6-10 years)

8 week group (weekly 45 minute sessions for children; bi-weekly sessions for parents)

Group therapy for children who are experiencing changes in their families due to divorce or separation.

Building Resilience: Lego-based Play Therapy (ages 11-13)

8 week group (weekly 60 minute sessions for children; bi-weekly sessions for parents)

Group therapy designed to provide support, skill-building, emotional safety, and self-esteem to those who have experienced bullying.

Comedy and Confidence: Improv as a Therapeutic Tool (ages 14-19)

12 week group (weekly 60 minute sessions for teens; this group does not have a parent component)

Group Therapy to address challenges with self-esteem, self-identity, and self-acceptance through applied improvisation strategies.
