Kelly Bartle-Bush, LCSW-R
ABOUT ME
Here’s a little about me so we’re not total strangers!
I’m a mom of twin boys, corny joke teller, year-round iced coffee drinker, squirrel memorabilia collector, lifelong avid learner, mystery writer Harlan Coben’s #1 fan, and I have the best job in the whole world: I am a therapist for children and teens.
You might be wondering…
Why should I choose Kelly to work with my child?
What makes her qualified to help?
These are great questions to consider as you make the incredibly important decision about where to seek help for the most cherished person in your life.
I get it, wholeheartedly. Taking the next step toward receiving support is a big deal, which is why I want you to know that I never settle on the quality of services I provide. I view the role of a therapist as a tremendous responsibility (and one that I take very seriously), so you can rest assured that your child’s well-being is always at the forefront of our work. I provide a wide range of personalized therapy services based on your child’s needs, strengths, interests, challenges, and supports. My areas of focus include treating mood disorders (depression and anxiety), suicide prevention, developing self-esteem and resilience, and healing from trauma.
I have extensive training and the experience necessary to support the complex and unique needs of children and teens. My entire career has been devoted to positive youth development and I have worked with youth and families in an array of diverse settings for over a decade. These professional encounters have allowed me to develop a profound understanding of how to effectively communicate and collaborate with youth and families to achieve desired outcomes. My license and certifications include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (with R- Psychotherapy Privilege), Registered Play Therapist, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and NASW Certified Advanced Children, Youth, and Families Social Worker.
Perhaps more important than any professional license or certification, though, is the relationship between therapist and client. When people feel safe and heard, progress and healing become possible. I take pride in my ability to connect with youth, and I strongly believe it is due to my compassionate and non-judgmental nature. Clients are always welcomed with an open mind and a genuine interest in hearing their stories. Therapy does not need to be scary. Of course, it involves hard work and vulnerability, but with the right therapist the process can feel more manageable and meaningful. I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with your child in navigating hard times and celebrating victories.
If your child could benefit from support in learning how to feel/overcome/persevere/connect/heal/cope/adjust/communicate/love/hope/thrive/[fill in the blank], please reach out. I am here for it all.
